The main reason that the Nether update was so big was because it allowed players to expierience another dimension that is hard to survive in.

Not only did the Nether create a new environment to do what you please, but if your like me and get tired of the overworld you can feel free to build a full on base in the Nether.
Just make sure you dont build it out of wood or it might burn!
